My Thoughts
Sometimes, when we least expect it, something or someone enters our lives and changes it forever. That someone was an 8 week-old German Shepherd male puppy who immediately filled my days and nights with unconditional love and a brand new purpose. It didn't take me long to realize I had found my passion in this breed. This passion has never left.
I vowed (signer of the Breeder's Code of Ethics), I would do my very best to breed healthy, intelligent, beautiful German Shepherds who adhered to the AKC Standard for the German Shepherd Dog, and who could also live a long life with those who loved them.
Since that time, I have been totally committed to the German Shepherd dog. My quest for knowledge about this breed whether studying genetics, nutrition, pedigrees, training and behavior, has been insatiable. As a breeder, I broaden my knowledge by attending various seminars, expanding my own personal library, by my own experiences with dogs, bitches, litters, and, importantly, through close associations with other reputable breeders.
There is no perfect German Shepherd, just as there is no perfect person. But as a breeder, with each litter whelped, I hope I come closer to achieving this goal.
