A long time ago, when I had visions of breeding a Champion German Shepherd, I knew what I wanted: I wanted a beautiful head. I wanted intelligence far above the average. I wanted good temperament. I wanted the physical beauty, the nobility, the magnificence of a truly great dog. I simply wanted a dog who met the Standard, who could do all that was asked of it and more.
I bred my Castle’s Queen Guinevere to a young solid-black male, Jerr’s Pinebeach American Jazz. I loved this dog from the moment I saw him. He had the temperament, the beauty, and the structure I was looking for in a sire. Unfortunately, he died in a tragic fire shortly after Victoria was born. He was just a few points short of becoming a Champion.
I believe the German Shepherd is the total dog. Victoria, in every sense, has met my expectations. I have been told by Victoria’s obedience instructor and one of Victoria’s handlers that she is the smartest dog they have ever known. She is an escape artist and has had special runs put up just for her when she is boarded. When she wants “out”, she is “out” and on the way home!
I love my Vickie! She is one beautiful gift from God!
